Hello, world!!! What a mess! This is the first time I open a blog, so I hope you’ll understand (and forgive) my lack of experience in this point.
I’m a student of English who lives in Rosario, Argentina, and, as the rest of my classmates, I’m taking part in a project carried out by our teacher Rita and her colleagues from different parts of the world.
This project is meant not only for us to make contact with other students of English in order to practice the language, but it’s also for making new friends with whom we’ll share much more things beyond the English course’s aims.
This is a little about me: I’m Paula, I’m 27 and I work in the local government as a lawyer. One of the things I enjoy the most is learning foreign languages.
Besides English (and, of course, my native tongue: Spanish), I have studied Italian, German, Català (this is the 2nd. official language in Catalunya, one autonomous state of Spain), and a little bit of French. One of my biggest dreams is traveling around the world and being able to communicate with the locals in their own languages. So far, unfortunately, I’ve never been abroad, but I never give up hope.
I profoundly love cats, as you can see in my picture, in which I´m hugging my female cat Zoe. She’s only a year and a half old, and she’s “Acme” breed, which means she is from none that could be positively identified. She’s a very naughty cat, and I’m afraid that I’ve a little responsibility about it. Just because I work too much, I never stay home long enough to keep her happy and playing. So, as she bores a lot, she amuses herself scratching my furniture.
Well, though this has been my first time, I believe it’s gone pretty much fine. I really hope this short presentation of myself could interest somebody just enough to encourage him or her for writing some words to me. This could be the beginning of some great friendships!!
